For years we have been brainwashed to ignore home remedies by advertising companies and manufacturers who wanted us to believe that the only solution to various problems was to buy the product they were selling. Old home remedies that had been around for centuries were dismissed as ‘old wives tales’ and ridiculed.

It amuses me that every now and again I hear that scientists have found that some of these old wives tales and home remedies actually do work and often they do not have the side effects of manufacturers products. Invariably these home remedies are also much cheaper to produce than buying pills, potions, creams and tablets produced in vast production facilities that are designed to produce them in their millions every day. With such an expensive operation to fund it is no surprise that the manufacturers of these preparations need to convince us that their product is the only solution to our problem.

Some of the old ways of dealing with problems may have been effective home remedies for hundreds of years are likely to remain so today but there may have been developments that mean modern methods work better but only by using them and testing can we judge if this is the case.

Home remedies are available for anything from dealing with headaches to getting rid of mice. It is not a subject limited to medical issues alone. However, I must point out that if you have a medical problem you should always consult a qualified medical practitioner to examine you and your problem and you should be guided by the medical advice they give you. If you are considering using home remedies you should discus this with them to see if they see any value in your doing so and to ensure there would not be any complications or increased risks.

There is probably only one group of people who actually like cellulite and that would be the people who offer treatments for dealing with the problems of cellulite. This would include cosmetic surgeons and suppliers of creams and various potions.

There is considerable debate as to whether anything really works for dealing with cellulite as it seems to be a very difficult problem to deal with. Certainly, the simplest solution to how to cope with cellulite is to accept it and stop worrying about it.

Cellulite is, after all, a natural development of the human body. Nobody seems to be immune to its effects whether you are a supermodel or an athlete or an ordinary working person, cellulite arrives when it decides the time is right.

There are various treatments available and some claim significant success. If you have the money and want to try them by all means go ahead and give them a go. It may work for you and at least by trying you are keeping up the fight to stay looking good and that is good for you emotionally too, I expect.

If you don’t have the money or you just can’t face the thought of constantly trying to resist the effects of age and time then just accept you as the person you are and get on with your life. There is much more to enjoy in life other than just avoiding the effects of time on your body.

It may be one of those things we prefer not to think about but coping with snoring can be a huge problem for some people.
